Disaster Services Training

Registration

All Disaster Services Training is free of charge for registered Red Cross staff. Non-Red Cross staff can participate on a case by case basis. For online training please contact the chapter. All participants need to register four days in advance. There are three ways to register for a class.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

Certain courses are approved for CEUs. Although the courses are free of charge, there will be a fee by the accrediting agency for issuing the CEUs. Please contact the Las Cruces office for further information.

Cancellation of Training

Equipment and instructors could be called upon to respond to disasters; therefore all classes and workshops are subject to cancellation.

Prerequisites

General prerequisite for all Disaster Service training is “Introduction to Disaster Services”. This course can be taken online: www.redcross.org/flash/course01_v01/
